WHAT IS WORK & TRAVEL PROGRAM ?
WORK & TRAVEL is program for international cultural student exchange. This program allows to the students to spend one summer in USA. Another great opportunity and privilege, which JK is offering to our students, are the Summer Work and Travel programs. Work and Travel Programs are a unique and exciting way through which the students have the opportunity to get familiar with the American everyday life and culture, and at the same time earn a significant sum of money. Most of the offered job positions are in the field of Hospitality and Catering (waters/waitresses, bartenders, receptionists, cashiers, shop assistants…). Students can choose their job position when filling out their application forms.
The Summer Work and Travel
program provides legal working status under the J-1 visa. The duration of the employment contract is of a minimum of nine weeks to a maximum of four months. In addition, the students are allowed a one-month grace period afterwards for travel. During this “grace period”, the students are not allowed to work.
In brief, Summer Work and Travel Programs provide a quality cultural exchange experience for all who take part in them. Each participant will have the opportunity to experience the United States in a way that is both fun and educational.
WHO CAN APPLY?
- Full-time students
- Be between 19 and 28 years old
- Conversational skills in English
